[Meet your Maker]

My name is Nnolika and I am an aspiring event designer. No that isn’t a typo, there really are 2 n’s at the beginning of my name. And for those of you who may have done a double take, or paused to try and read it, it’s pronounced no-lee-ka………………… you’re welcome ;)

My desire is to bring some amazing and creative designs to any event. I believe life and love should be celebrated; each is unique and special, and your designs should be as well. I wish to create a beautiful atmosphere to bring those moments to life in every detail possible.

A wink is a simple gesture implying something special to those involved but the effects can be shared with many.

1.       To signal a message

2.       To shine with little flashes of light; a twinkle

3.       A hint or signal given by winking

I want to create that exceptional “wink” to your special event by crafting those gestures that make an impactful effect to share with your friends, family and guests. We create the “wink” and they get the “wow”. It is my business to make it personal ;)

For as long as I can remember I have been dabbling in arts & crafts expressing my creative nature in every way possible. From since I was a little girl, playing around with clip art on The Print Shop (please comment if you remember that program… damn I feel old), I have been trying to customize, personalize and design everything I possibly could. I also felt like I had to because nothing came made with my name on it already (clearly). So I would make it my own. And now, I want to bring that customizing spirit to you!

I have a passion for design and all things creative and I love to craft anything and everything it seems sometimes. I am an explorer of handmade and one-of-a-kind finds and I am also addicted to Pinterest (aren’t we all?). I have been searching (unsuccessfully might I add) for my perfect career, looking to see what job was out there that I would love to do everyday. What I could be that would make me look forward to working every morning, but I just couldn't find it. Of course, I didn't even bother thinking about the obvious... I could make my own career! I make everything else anyways... Why not make this too?? So here I am, at the very beginning of this long, scary and unknown road ahead of me trying to tap into the event designing world. Follow along through my ups and downs and all arounds as I create my way into this new world of event design. Off we go!
